THE DETAILS:

WHERE: Malibu Club, British Columbia

WHEN: June 9, 2025 - June 17, 2025

COST: $1850 - this includes all travel (from Vancouver to Malibu), hotel, all food and activities while at camp. This does NOT include your flight to Vancouver. Your flight to Vancouver will act as your deposit for camp, and is required to hold your spot. We will have payment plan options available.

Money is nonrefundable after March 12th.

WHO: 25 folks from HHCA will take on Malibu! This number includes 4 Young Life leaders who will chaperone the trip.

Malibu is a wonderfully remote camp that can only be reached by boat or seaplane. Our journey will start once everyone arrives in Vancouver.

How it will work:

  • Departure: Book a flight for June 9th, to arrive in Vancouver (YVR) no later than 10pm. There are several flight options. 
  • Return: Book a flight for June 16th from Vancouver departing at no earlier than 11pm. We will take a red eye from Vancouver back to Savannah/HHI. There are 4 different airline flight options for flights leaving YVR at or after 11pm, arriving back in the low country on June 17th.
  • There will be multiple flight options with a Young Life leader if you would like for your child to fly with an adult.
  • Upon booking, please send Leigh Whitaker your flight details and confirmation number.


Leigh's flight: 

  •  Depart June 9th: United Flight 2132 leaving Savannah at 3:52pm, arriving in Vancouver at 9:49pm with a layover in Denver
  • Return June 16th: United 1279 leaving Vancouver at 11:22pm, arriving in Savannah on June 17th at 10:26am with a layover in Chicago

Andrew's flight:

  • Depart June 9th: West Jet 8753 from Savannah at 3:50pm, arriving in Vancouver at 8:52pm, with a layover in Atlanta
  • Return June 16th: West Jet 1598 departing Vancouver at 11pm, with a layover in Atlanta, arriving to Savannah on June 17th at 9:22am


Getting to Malibu from Vancouver:

  •  June 9th: Arrive in Vancouver and stay in a hotel for the night.
  • June 10th - Board a bus and head to Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. Take a ferry across the bay, and head to Malibu's basecamp in Egmont, BC. Hop on the Malibu Princess boat and head to camp!
  • June 16th - depart camp in the reverse order, and end up at the Vancouver Airport by 8pm. We will be taking red eye flights back to HHI/Savannah.

PASSPORTS: A passport will be required for your trip to travel to Malibu. Please make sure your child has a current passport.

UPON REGISTRATION: There will more information to come in regards to hotel location, health forms, parent permission forms, etc. Below is a letter with more information from camp.

depending on COVID conditions. I acknowledge that I am responsible for fully understanding and
knowing the Canadian border crossing requirements for my child, including those pertaining to COVID.
I ensure my child will meet those requirements and maintain the appropriate border crossing
documents as well as provide proof of compliance with the border crossing requirements prior to
